The Troy Housing Authority offers two distinct programs - public housing and Section 8 housing. To find out more about these programs, look below. 

Public Housing Program
The public housing program has the housing authority as the landlord. Typically known as "projects" we prefer to call them our housing communities. The rent is based the persons income and bedroom size determined by the number in the family. Click HERE to find out more.

Section 8 Program
The Section 8 housing program has an individual or company as the landlord. The tenant goes out into the community to find appropriate housing. The housing authority enters into an agreement with the landlord to provide rental assistance to the tenant. The tenant enters into a lease with the landlord.
